Message
To provide high-quality training both within and outside the university through skilled trainers, contributing to the development of qualified national talent with knowledge and skills.
Objectives
- Study and identify the training needs of university affiliates and the local community.
- Provide and develop paid and free training programs for various sectors and target groups within the university, college, and local community in alignment with developments, updates, and the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
- Organize workshops and training courses for college staff to enhance their skills and develop their abilities.
- Offer training programs for graduates to prepare them for the labor market.
- Design an electronic platform for the committee to automate all of its training activities.
Tasks
The committee supervises all activities related to training courses, including the following tasks:
- Promote the culture of training within the local community, identify its training needs based on scientific principles, and ensure alignment with current and future labor market demands.
- Prepare the annual operational plan for training programs.
- Develop policies and procedures for selecting, approving, and delivering training programs and short courses.
- Contribute to establishing partnerships with organizations related to training.
- Identify training organizations ready to deliver professional training programs, supervise the creation, development, and approval of programs, and track their progress.
- Develop and organize training programs and short courses for university staff and job seekers from the local community.
- Assess the training capabilities of faculty members in the Applied College to utilize them in developing and delivering training programs and short courses.
- Attract distinguished trainers from within and outside the university to develop and deliver training programs and short courses.
- Prepare training certificates and final reports for training programs.
- Design electronic records for storing data and statistics related to training programs.
- Measure performance indicators for training programs and participate in preparing the strategic plan and annual report for the Applied College concerning the Training and Skills Development Unit.
