Council Responsibilities
The executive council is responsible for supervising the affairs of the applied college at the university, and to achieve this, it is tasked with the following:
Recommending approval of the strategic and annual plan of the applied college and submitting it to the university council for approval.
Recommending approval of proposed programs and study plans for diplomas (participating and intermediate) offered by the applied college and submitting them to the university president for approval.
Recommending approval of proposed practical educational training courses offered by the applied college and submitting them to the university president for approval.
Ensuring that the programs and study plans of the applied college conform to classification and framework and meet the current and future needs of the labor market.
Supporting proposals to modify and cancel diplomas and their study plans and submitting them to the university president for approval.
Supporting proposals to modify and cancel practical educational training courses and submitting them to the university president for approval.
Discussing periodic and annual reports of the applied college, the annual report on the employment of graduates of the implemented programs, and submitting the annual reports to the university council and a copy to the permanent supervision and partnership committee for the applied college.
Developing strategic partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Recommending approval of the appointment or contracting of faculty members and others and those whom the applied college may hire with experience and expertise, and submitting them to the university president to complete the necessary procedures.
Proposing academic regulations and procedures related to students enrolled in the applied college, including admission, registration, withdrawal, addition, course equivalency, and other academic procedures, and submitting them to the university council for approval.
Proposing criteria for selecting and identifying entities that can be used to operate the applied college, any of its programs, or training courses, and submitting them to the university council for consideration and approval.
Considering matters referred to it by the university council, committee, or president for study and opinion.
