The Applied College is one of the educational units of the university, striving to achieve excellence in training and community service while recognizing the university’s significant challenge of attaining global leadership. Through its various units, including the Training and Skills Development Unit, the college leverages qualified and specialized human resources within the university to deliver high-quality training via specialized training programs and accredited professional certifications. These efforts aim to enhance the skills and expertise of the university’s affiliates and the local community, encompassing public, private, and non-profit sectors, across various fields to align with the Saudi Vision 2030 and meet labor market demands.

Training is one of the foundational pillars for the success of public, private, and non-profit sectors. It is a cornerstone of cultural advancement that enables nations to achieve their sustainable development goals. Training involves continuous activities aimed at equipping individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to enhance quality and productivity and achieve desired goals.

The Training and Skills Development Unit at the Applied College aspires to deliver professional-level training that invests in developing the skills of university affiliates (students, faculty members, staff) and the local community (high school graduates, those employed, and job seekers) across various fields. This contributes to the university’s development objectives by offering specialized training programs, outstanding training content, highly qualified trainers, and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of these programs.
