Objectives of the Academic Affairs Unit:

  • Establish a supportive administrative framework for academic affairs.
  • Create an attractive and stimulating educational environment for creativity and excellence.
  • Develop student recruitment standards.
  • Provide academic databases to aid in program development.
  • Evaluate and develop study plans and programs in line with the mission and objectives of applied colleges.
  • Enhance the quality of academic plans and programs, support teaching and learning processes, and meet labor market demands.
  • Continuously develop and assess existing academic programs.
  • Introduce new programs that align with labor market needs and national development plans.

 

Tasks of the Academic Affairs Unit:

  • Participate in various activities within the college.
  • Act as a liaison between the college administration and programs, registration, English language, and faculty members.
  • Perform tasks and activities assigned by the college administration and provide the required reports.
  • Submit suggestions to the college administration to improve college operations.
  • Contribute to identifying the college’s requirements for faculty members and participate in reviewing employment applications.
  • Collaborate with the college administration and the programs committee to introduce new programs and develop curricula in line with labor market needs.
  • Appoint committees related to academic affairs studies in the college.
  • Monitor the activities of academic committees within the college.
  • Respond to inquiries directed to the Academic Affairs Unit through correspondence, phone, or email in accordance with regulations and policies.
  • Follow up on student excuses, deferments, and disciplinary issues in coordination with relevant units and committees.
  • Oversee the preparation of teaching schedules for faculty members in academic programs.
  • Supervise the conduct of final exams and implement study and examination regulations.
  • Ensure the application of rules, decisions, and systems related to academic affairs in the college.
  • Provide a database of programs, study plans, courses, and faculty members in coordination with relevant units.
