Goals

  • Facilitate students’ integration and full adaptation (academically, psychologically, and socially) to the university environment.
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate study tracks and achieving academic excellence.
  • Guide and monitor students to adhere to the Unified First-Year Program Code of Conduct.
  • Support and provide appropriate assistance to students with special needs.


Tasks

  • Develop an academic guidance plan for the academic year.
  • Supervise the implementation of the academic guidance plan.
  • Act as a liaison between academic guidance at the college and the guidance office at the Deanship of Student Affairs.
  • Help resolve student issues, provide advice, and direct students to the appropriate specialists within the college or university. Refer students in need of psychological or social consultations to the Guidance and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs.
  • Assign students to academic advisors at the college, ensuring this is done on a semesterly basis.
  • Collaborate with the Guidance and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs to organize workshops for academic advisors and interested faculty members.
