The Training and Skills Development Unit, represented by the Professional Certificates Committee at the Applied College, organized an introductory meeting on professional certificates supported by college programs on Tuesday, 21 Shawwal 1445, corresponding to April 30, 2024. The aim was to introduce students to these professional certificates and their importance. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Al Jabbar, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, spoke about the college programs, highlighting the main features of each program and the job opportunities associated with it.

Then, the head of the Professional Certificates Committee, Dr. Sultan Al-Maliki, reviewed the professional certificates supported by each program of the college and the supporting courses for them. He also spoke about the Professional Certificates Testing Center at the Applied College, showcasing the various facilities provided by the center through pictures. He concluded his talk about the partnerships that the Applied College has concluded with some of the most prominent global companies that grant various professional certificates.

The mechanism for student competition was also discussed in order to obtain support for the qualifying courses for professional certificates and how to calculate the competition ratio, which was clarified by Dr. Shatha Rayhan. The meeting ended with a series of inquiries from the attendees, and they were answered by Dr. Mohammed Al Shaharani, the head of the Training and Skills Development Unit, and the participating faculty members.
