The Student Guidance Committee at the Applied College – Female Branch organizes the orientation meeting for new students – First Semester 1447
The Student Guidance Committee at the Applied College – Female Branch organized an orientation meeting for new students on Thursday, 5 Rabi Al-Awwal 1447 AH, marking the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 1447. The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem. The Executive Director of the Female Branch, Dr. Shaimaa Al-Malki, delivered a welcoming speech in which she encouraged the new students to pursue academic excellence, uphold discipline, and demonstrate exemplary conduct.
Coordinators of the Applied College programs introduced the academic offerings, while the Student Guidance Supervisor, Ms. Areej Al-Asimi, highlighted the importance of the electronic services available through the academic system and Blackboard, explaining how students can benefit from them. The Head of the Student Activities Committee then outlined the activity plan for the academic year, emphasizing the crucial role of extracurricular programs in developing students’ skills and supporting their journey toward success and distinction.
The meeting concluded with an open discussion to address students’ questions, followed by honoring outstanding students in recognition of their achievements and to inspire their peers to strive for academic excellence. New students were also introduced to the Individual Volunteering Team, composed of volunteer students who provide one-on-one guidance and support to help newcomers overcome challenges and adapt smoothly to college life.
