The Student Counseling Committee at the Applied College – Female Branch – Organizes a Workshop Titled "Study Smart, Not Hard" to Enhance Memory Skills and Exam Readiness – Second Semester 1446
The Student Counseling Committee at the Applied College – Female Branch organized an in-person workshop titled "Study Smart, Not Hard" on Sunday, 22 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 20, 2025. The session was led by Ms. Areej Al-Osaimi and Dr. Inaam Mustafa, and aimed to equip students with effective strategies to boost memory retention and improve preparation for final exams.
The workshop was attended by a group of students and faculty members, who had the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice of several well-studied techniques drawn from real-life applications. Among the key strategies introduced were: the Memory Palace, Chunking, use of Acronyms, Visual Learning, and Illustrative Diagrams, all presented in an energetic and interactive environment.
This workshop is one of the valuable initiatives offered by the Student Counseling Committee as part of its continuous efforts to support students academically, and to encourage them to adopt smart, engaging study methods that contribute to enhanced academic performance and more effective learning outcomes.
