As part of the Applied College at Najran University’s commitment to promoting health awareness among female students, the Student Activities Committee organized on Sunday, 18 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to November 9, 2025, an awareness lecture titled “Electronic Shisha and Its Health Risks.” The aim was to clarify the health dangers associated with its use and correct common misconceptions surrounding it.
The lecture was held in the college auditorium, attended by a number of students and faculty members. It was delivered by Dr. Amal Mohammed Shadiwah, Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, who discussed the components of electronic shisha, the harmful chemicals it contains, and its direct effects on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. She also presented illustrative images and recent medical studies highlighting its dangers, particularly among youth.
The event concluded with words of thanks to the lecturer and all participants, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness among students and the university community.
