The Applied College, represented by the Training and Skills Development
Unit, organized a workshop titled “Professional Certification in the Labor
Market” on Wednesday, 29 Shawwal 1445 AH, corresponding to May 8, 2024,
via Zoom. This workshop aims to introduce students to the importance of
professional certificates in their academic and professional journey.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Deputy CEO for
Academic Affairs spoke about the importance of professional certificates
and the college’s efforts to align a number of professional certificates
with the college’s programs. He reviewed the services of the Applied
College website regarding programs and professional certificates and
provided all the information needed by students and the community about
them.
Then, the head of the Professional Certificates Committee, Dr. Sultan
Al-Maliki, reviewed the criteria for competition to obtain support for the
professional certificate examination vouchers that the college will offer
to its students. Then, the deputy head of the Professional Certificates
Committee, Dr. Shatha Rehan, reviewed the application mechanism via the
link dedicated to competition. The meeting ended with a series of
inquiries from the attendees, and they were answered by the head of the
Training and Skills Development Unit and the participating faculty
members.
