Organized by the Student Activities Committee at the Applied College - Main Campus, a virtual lecture titled "Fundamentals and Rules of the English Language" was held via the Blackboard platform. The event took place on Sunday evening, 12th Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH, at 6:30 PM. The lecture was presented by Professor Abdul Rahman Al-Qahtani, who provided a comprehensive overview of the key pillars of the English language. The scientific content of the lecture covered a wide range of fundamental topics, starting from the alphabet and parts of speech, through sentence structure and types, up to advanced grammatical rules.

The main axes of the lecture included:

• Language basics: Alphabet, parts of speech, and basic sentence structure.
• Nouns and pronouns: Their classifications, uses, and plural rules.
• Verbs: Main and compound tenses, auxiliary verbs, and modal verbs.
• Sentence construction: Questions, negation, and imperatives.
• Adjectives and adverbs: Comparison and preference.
• Advanced linguistic structures: Passive voice, conditional sentences, and reported speech.
• Applied vocabulary: Expressing nationalities and countries.

This lecture aimed to provide students with a solid foundation in English grammar, contributing to the enhancement of their language skills and improving their communication abilities in academic and practical contexts.
