The Applied College – Main Campus – in Collaboration with the University’s College of Pharmacy Organizes an Awareness Lecture Titled "Drugs: Ruin and Destruction" – Second Semester 1446 AH
As part of its ongoing efforts to raise student awareness, and within the framework of the awareness campaign titled "The Scourge of Drugs", the Applied College - Main Campus, represented by the Community Engagement Committee in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy at the University, organized an awareness lecture entitled "Drugs: Ruin and Destruction" on Wednesday, 2 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446, corresponding to April 30, 2025, at the Applied College auditorium.
The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Orabi, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, and was directed towards the students of the college. It covered several key topics, including:
1. Types of drugs
2. Symptoms of drug addiction
3. Negative effects of addiction on the individual
4. Social impacts of drug addiction
5. Prevention methods to avoid falling into addiction
This lecture is part of a series of awareness initiatives adopted by the Applied College in its pursuit to promote health and social awareness among its students. At the end of the session, an open discussion took place where Dr. Orabi responded to students' questions and inquiries amid high engagement. The session concluded with words of appreciation and gratitude for his valuable insights and commendable effort.
