As part of its efforts to enhance students' awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, the Student Activities Committee, in collaboration with the Training Courses Committee at the Applied College, organized a lecture titled "Introduction to Cybersecurity" on Tuesday, 12 Sha'ban 1446 AH, corresponding to February 11, 2025, via the Blackboard platform.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Basim Al-Absi and targeted the college's students, covering several key topics, including:
1- The concept and significance of cybersecurity
2- Cybersecurity objectives
3- Types and classifications of cybersecurity threats
4- Key cybersecurity terminology
5- Fundamental cybersecurity measures
This initiative is part of the Applied College's commitment to equipping its students with the necessary skills to keep up with digital challenges and enhance their expertise in cybersecurity, thereby preparing them for the job market and ensuring the highest standards of security in cyberspace.
