The Student Guidance Committee, in collaboration with the Student Activities Committee at the Applied College, organized an orientation and guidance meeting for new students on Sunday, 21 Safar 1446, corresponding to August 25, 2024. The ceremony was opened by His Excellency the Executive Vice President, Dr. Mohammed Saad Al Jabbar, with a speech welcoming faculty members and new students. He emphasized the importance of diligence and hard work in academic achievement and the role of academic excellence in building the student's personality, preparing them for the future, developing society, and elevating the nation. Dr. Osama Mohammed Mahdi then spoke about all the academic terms and procedures related to the admission and registration system, which the student implements through the academic system portal.
Afterwards, Dr. Barai Babiker Mahmoud discussed the concept of academic advising and its importance in guiding students, as well as the role of the advisor and the student in the advising process. Dr. Fawaz Aklan provided a detailed explanation of the college's distinctive website, its sections, and all the options and links relevant to students. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Al Jabbar spoke about the Click Club affiliated with the Applied College and its importance in creating a stimulating environment for students through innovative programs and activities that contribute to developing their technical skills and enhancing their spirit of creativity and innovation.
